Get ready for your trip

Hiking in Durmitor and lounging on the beach in Budva are two very different activities and require different equipment.

A backpack is useful if you want to walk or hike for longer periods of times. You choose clothes according to the seasons, and pay special attention to footwear. Comfortable sneakers are a must for long walks and tours of, say, old towns. In winter, waterproof boots will come in handy.

For the beach, pack comfortable, protective shoes along with flipflops and sandals, because you will not only come across sandy beaches, but also rocky beaches that can be hidden and hard to reach. Make sure to also bring a beach towel and sunscreen with a protective factor (you may also need these on the mountain.)
