Winning 32,842 votes, Kotor has been ranked eighth among Europe’s top 10 destinations to visit in 2021.
“We are very proud that our town has been ranked alongside the likes of Rome, Paris, Florence, Vienna, Braga, Ghent and Canary Islands and others. Kotor got many votes from China, France and Tahiti,” Kotor’s Tourism Organisation said in a statement.
This recognition is of great promotional importance for Kotor. Despite all the circumstances that have paralyzed tourism in the last year, the interest of tourists in Kotor is not waning.
“We expect a gradual recovery of tourism this year and hope that Kotor will be a holiday destination for many tourists who want to be surrounded by beautiful scenery, nature and rich cultural heritage,” the statement said.
