Official means of payment
Official means of payment in Crna Gora is the euro (€). The euro currency has seven banknotes in circulation, in amounts of: 5€, 10€, 20€, 50€, 100€, 200€ and 500€, along with coins of 1€ and 2€ amounts, as well as 5-, 10-, 20-, 50- cent coins.
Exchange of other foreign currency is carried at the counters of commercial banks and exchange offices.
Payment cards
You can use the following credit cards in Montenegro: Visa, Visa Electron, Master Card, Maestro, American Express.
The vast majority of catering facilities, restaurants, hotels, bars, gas stations, grocery stores and consumer goods allow payment by card.
ATMs equipped for money withdrawal are available and accessible in all cities.
