The readers of this magazine are high-income guests with an average household income of around €4,000, which is a very important piece of information for Montenegro as a tourist destination.
Her vivid tour of Montenegro is featured in a five-page spread in the May, June, and July edition of the magazine Reise und Preise. Journalist Elke visited Durmitor, then enjoyed descending from Lovćen to Kotor, all the way to Budva, Sveti Stefan, Stari Bar, and finally Lake Skadar, where she was captivated by its size and beauty.
"The Balkan country between Croatia, Serbia, and Albania is smaller than Schleswig-Holstein but rich in nature. In less than a three-hour drive, you can visit two UNESCO World Heritage sites, Durmitor National Park and the Bay of Kotor. This way, you can best experience the great adventures in the high mountains and combine them with days of swimming in the Adriatic," Elke continues.
In addition to writing about the natural beauties of Montenegro, she detailed all the places she visited in the travel magazine Reise und Preise, including contacts and recommendations for visits.
"Walk softly and listen – Mother Nature at work," reads the sign in the garden of the eco-village 'Nevidio,' which instantly put me into relaxation mode after a long and very active day. A few houses with pointed roofs in the local architectural style and a garden with a mountain view provide a pleasant atmosphere," the journalist highlighted in her article.
"Fantastically beautiful. The Bay and Old Town of Kotor are just a 2.5-hour drive from Durmitor National Park. A true WOW moment, when the blue bay framed by black mountains suddenly appears below me, where the Adriatic deeply cuts into the Montenegrin mountains. The landscape here is more reminiscent of the Swiss mountains with lakes than the Mediterranean Sea. This is where the holiday paradise of beautiful Montenegro begins – a magnificent coastal landscape that stretches almost 300 kilometers to the Croatian border," journalist Elke concluded with her impressive impressions of Montenegro.
In addition to the National Tourism Organisation of Montenegro, support for organizing the study visit was provided by: LTO Tivat, LTO Budva, Eco Village Nevidio, Hyatt Regency Kotor Bay Hotel, and Cermenzia Winery.
