Chinese travel magazine names Montenegro as the best foreign destination with a natural landscape

Traveling Scope, a specialised Chinese travel and lifestyle magazine, has named Montenegro the best foreign destination with a natural landscape.

Montenegro thus stood shoulder-to-shoulder with other popular tourist destinations such as Dubai, Portugal, Switzerland, New Zealand, UK, Tahiti, Ireland and Japan.

The prestigious Traveling Scope Award in the category of Best Foreign Destination with Natural Landscape was given to Montenegro based on readers’ votes, but also votes from the editors-in-chief of magazines and other tourism experts from China.

Traveling Scope has been published in China since 1980 and has a circulation of over 700,000. It introduces readers to tourist destinations around the world through compelling content and photographs.

This award is further proof that Montenegro is becoming an increasingly popular tourist destination in the market of the People’s Republic of China.

The National Tourism Organisation of Montenegro, in partnership with the Serbia’s Tourism Organisation, continuously promotes Montenegro as a tourist destination in China via its online platforms, with the slogan of the campaign being ‘Wild Soul of Europe – Slow Adventure’. Chinese tourists’ favourite destinations in Montenegro include Kotor, Podgorica and Budva, while the most visited sites are the Đurđevića Tara Bridge, the Bay of Kotor and Sveti Stefan.
