The seventh episode of the latest series of Top Gear France, featuring sequences filmed in Montenegro, premiered on French TV channel RMC.
The popular motoring show contains sequences shot in Cetinje, Rijeka Crnojevića, Žabljak, Kotor and Perast. The hosts of the show, Le Tone and Bruce, tested a new Lamborghini SUV in Montenegro. According to them, Montenegrin winding and mountainous roads are breathtaking. They referred to the curvy Lovćen – Kotor road (known as the Kotor serpentines) as one of the most scenic routes in the world. The two presenters describe Montenegro as a country of great patriots, with spectacular nature.
Hosted by the National Tourism Organisation of Montenegro, the team of the legendary BBC show visited Montenegro in June last year, when they recorded an episode for their sixth series. Top Gear France, which has achieved great success in France, attracts millions of viewers, which will be all-important for Montenegro in terms of promotion.
The visit was supported by the local tourism organisations of Cetinje and Kotor, as well as the National Parks of Montenegro and Montenegro Airlines, the country’s national carrier.
