In a show of force, the Austro-Hungarian Empire built as many as five fortresses to guard the entrance to the Bay in the mid-late 1800s. These were abandoned when the First World War began and while in a state of utter disrepair, are no less astonishing for how they were built and lived in.
We'll also visit an abandoned submarine hide last employed by the Yugoslav Navy. There's time for an optional swim in the blue/green emerald waters of the sea. The Giant-E-Bikes shred the significant hills of Luštica and are a blast to ride.
